Nik Ford - Hometown BMX Edit

After returning to the UK from an amazing 2010 competing, traveling, making friends and filming in Australia I found myself back in my hometown for the start of 2011. I needed a focus to get me through the transition and decided to self film an edit in my hometown of Stratford upon Avon, while I worked out my next move in the game of life. So here it is - my hometown edit.

Nik Ford - Australia edit 2010

My time in Australia is coming to an end and to help me remember all the good times I have complied some of my personal highlights into this short edit.

The footage is from in and around the Melbourne area and the West Coast.

I would like to thank everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting, riding or chilling with for enriching my time in this amazing country and however brief the moments we shared, I will keep these memories with me for the rest of my days.

Thank you Australia. X

Fully Sick Bro - Melbourne BMX Edit by Nik Ford

I have now moved from Melbourne to the West Coast of Australia and its hot hot! I had to get to the skatepark for 8am the other day as after 11am there is no way you would wanna be riding. I have been doing some surfing as its one way to stay cooler.

I had been gathering clips of the crew I rode with in Melbourne over a few months and just before moving on I dropped an edit as a way of saying thank you for the good times. Check it out;

Nik Ford interview in the new issue of Focalpoint BMX Magazine

The new issue of Focalpoint BMX Magazine just dropped and check out the article about my time so far in Australia.

Cooper Brownlee, who runs the mag, is one of the raddest guys in BMX. Not only is he a shredder on his bike, but he takes an amazing photo, gives 10% of Focalpoints money to charity and he even gets the mag into school library's! Check out;

    Nik Ford qualifies for the South Eastern Australian BMX League finals

    I entered my first heat way back in February at Box Hill skatepark and after what has been an amazing 3 months of qualifying, traveling to awesome skateparks and making some good friends, the League is finished. The top 25 have been invited to the grand finals this Saturday at Melbourne City Park – Riverslide.

    I am pleased to announce that I have made the cut and have qualified in 5th! Im so stoked! Another fact that I think is rad is that I never placed outside of the top 10 in any of the heats leading to the finals.

    I will post an update next week and let you know how the finals went – Wish me luck.
